Telegram hosts large communities of migrants, students, and expats sharing visa and relocation tips, and scammers embed themselves there. A channel promising 'fast visa processing' or a direct message from a supposed immigration officer can blend into a feed people already trust for guidance.
Real immigration departments do not process applications or collect fees through Telegram channels or bots. The platform's group reach, multilingual audience, and automation let scammers run convincing 'application desks' that exist solely to take fees and harvest documents.
How this scam works on Telegram
Contact often starts in a channel advertising visa approvals, work permits, or appeal services. A bot or 'officer' moves you to a private chat to 'open your case', requesting your passport scan, application details, and a processing fee.
The scammer claims an issue must be resolved urgently — a flagged document, an expiring window, a pending refusal — and that paying now secures your status. Forged approval letters or case numbers are sent to sustain the illusion.
The fees disappear, the documents fuel identity theft, and any 'approval' is worthless. Pressure and false deadlines keep victims paying before they verify with the genuine authority.

Frequently asked questions
Can a Telegram channel really speed up my visa?
No. Immigration decisions are made only through official government processes, never through Telegram channels or bots. Such channels charge fake fees and steal documents — use only the official authority or a registered adviser.
