The Singapore Police Force (SPF) operates a dedicated Anti-Scam Hotline at 1800-722-6688, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hotline is the primary first-response channel for Singaporeans who believe they are in the process of being scammed or have just transferred money to a fraudster. SPF officers on the line can advise on immediate steps to take, including contacting your bank to freeze accounts or reverse transactions, and can initiate police reports if necessary.
For Singaporeans who wish to report a scam after the fact rather than in real time, online police reports can be filed at police.gov.sg. The SPF's Anti-Scam Centre (ASC) works with banks to recover funds transferred to scam accounts and coordinates intelligence with the ADCC in Hong Kong, CAFC in Canada, and other international partners.
Beyond the hotline, the SPF operates the Scam Alert website at scamalert.sg, which publishes current scam advisories, a scam statistics dashboard, and the Scam Self-Check tool. Consumers are encouraged to use these resources to verify whether a call, message, or offer matches known scam patterns. For digital threats such as malware installed on devices, SPF also coordinates with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA).
